The National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) proudly represents over 3,500 pharmacy students across Australia, including QPSA, which is honoured to be the second-largest student association in the country.
Founded in 1948, NAPSA has been instrumental in advocating for the rights of pharmacy students while fostering valuable connections within the pharmacy industry. Through events such as the NAPSA Congress, Vampire Cup, and Charity Cup, as well as ongoing awareness campaigns, NAPSA provides students with numerous opportunities for professional growth and meaningful collaboration. NAPSA Congress
NAPSA Congress is a much loved event, held annually in January, that is hosted each year at a pharmacy school around Australia. This event is a week long celebration of our pharmacy industry with daily education, networking, and social events.
Some of our favourite social events include Gala Ball, Alumni Networking Night, and Battle Night. The week often ends with a trade-show hall to let students learn about different companies, products, and opportunities available while picking up some freebies. Arguably the best part of Congress is meeting many like-minded pharmacy students from around the country and forming long lasting friendships.
Every year, the branch who has shown the most spirit and enthusiasm over the previous year and during the week of congress is awarded and titled "Branch of the Year." QPSA were very honoured to receive the NAPSA Best Branch 2023 Award at the PSA NAPSA Congress Gala Ball.

NAPSA Congress 2025

NAPSA Congress 2025 was hosted by QPSA between 12 January 2025 to 18 January 2025 in Brisbane at the UQ St Lucia Campus.
QPSA hosted over 300 students and sponsors from both Australia and New Zealand for NAPSA Congress 2025. It was an eventful week-long celebration of our industry with daily education, networking, and social events. This conference is always inspiring as we are surrounded with so many successful students and future health professionals. Our QPSA team were thrilled to not only take part in all events but also plan one of the most significant annual student pharmacy events. Thank you to our 2025 Organising Chair and QPSA alumni, Benjamin Huang, and his committee for planning such an amazing week. |
