Warm WelcomeI would like to begin by offering you a warm welcome to the UQ School of Pharmacy. You may not realise it, but just being accepted into university is a considerable achievement, so congratulations! Your time at UQ will be a tremendous one; full of triumph, emotion, and success. In a few short years, you will gain a wealth of knowledge, lifelong friends, and earn a very bright future. My name is Jess, and I am the President of the Queensland Pharmacy Students’ Association (QPSA). I was born and raised in Brisbane, and always dreamt of studying at UQ. I truly believe that university is what you make of it, and with the opportunities UQ and QPSA have offered me, I have been fortunate enough to engage in Pharmacy industry events all around Australia. The Queensland Pharmacy Students’ Association, otherwise known as QPSA, is a non-profit organisation created by pharmacy students, for pharmacy students. Our primary objective is to deliver the best student experience for UQ Pharmacy Students as possible. We achieve this by hosting regular education events and networking opportunities, creating amazing merchandise drops, introducing students to the pharmacy industry, sharing opportunities with our students, and of course hosting some incredible social events (Pharmacy Ball anyone?). We also work in collaboration with the UQ School of Pharmacy to enhance your student experience. Whether you want to get involved with the industry, attend social events with your mates, get discounts on textbooks and placement shirts, or even just lay low and rock some of the sweet QPSA merchandise, we have something for you. I would like to conclude by wishing you the very best for your first year with us at the UQ School of Pharmacy, and I hope you find every success. I cannot wait to meet you and see what we can achieve this year. AuthorJessica Heald, QPSA President
